Week 9, Thing 22

It is pretty amazing what you can do from the library website. I find it fascinating that you can read books online, listen to books online or transfer them to portable devices. I think I personally need to educate the public more on this feature. And to think that so many books and music are free! The hardest part is to get the software installed on your computer. I hope my enthusiam will get our customers exciting about using this technology.

Week 9 Thing 21

The exercise was to find a podcast and add the rss feed to the bloglines account. I had to ask a coworker for help on this one. I was going to the podcast I wanted (NPR children's books) and was trying to add it to bloglines. Instead I realized, I should start with bloglines and hit "add" and then put in the URL for NPR children's books. I was trying to do it backwards. This certainly is a learning excercise. I learned from one colleague and I will pass what I now know to another colleague. Despite the fact that it can sometimes be frustrating, I am learning a lot!
